Sustainable Youth Development Partnership (SYDP) is dedicated to nurturing the potential of Tanzania's youth through education, skills development, environmental conservation, and community engagement — building a future led by empowered young people.
SYDP Tanzania
SYDP — Sustainable Youth Development Partnership — is a non-profit organization based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Founded on the belief that youth are the cornerstone of national development, we work at the intersection of education, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment.
From our offices at PSSSF Victoria House on Bagamoyo Road, we coordinate programs that span urban and rural Tanzania, partnering with government agencies, private sector leaders, and international organizations to create lasting change.
Everything we do at SYDP stems from a clear mission and unwavering values that place youth empowerment and sustainability at the center of our work.
To nurture youth potential through education, skills development, and innovative programs that address the challenges of unemployment, environmental degradation, and social inequality — while promoting a culture of sustainability and active citizenship throughout Tanzania.
To build a future where young people are empowered to lead sustainable development and contribute meaningfully to the economic, social, and environmental growth of their communities — creating a Tanzania where no young person is left behind.
We are committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical practice in all our endeavors. We believe in the power of collaboration — working with communities, private sector leaders, and government to create change that is both sustainable and equitable.

Through dedication and community partnership, SYDP has created tangible impact across Tanzania — in the lives of youth, in environmental health, and in the strength of local communities.
Thousands of young Tanzanians have gained marketable skills through our entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and vocational training programs, helping them access employment and build businesses that contribute to the national economy.
Our conservation campaigns have contributed significantly to protecting Tanzania's waterways, forests, and wildlife habitats — with the Great Ruaha Marathon serving as an annual platform to unite thousands around ecological awareness and action.
The Great Ruaha Marathon and related initiatives have elevated Ruaha National Park's global profile, attracting international visitors and generating revenue for local economies — demonstrating that conservation and economic development can go hand in hand.
We have forged strong alliances with TANAPA, government ministries, international development organizations, and private sector partners — creating a powerful coalition committed to sustainable youth development and environmental protection.
